I never thought there would be a day where I would consider a $4060 exhaust as “cheap”, but in this case it actually is!
Rev9 has developed a FlowMAXX exhaust system for a Ferrari 488 GTB and Ferrari Spider for model years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 that is a full titanium axle back.
The goal of this exhaust is not too add horsepower or torque, though with more flow it should do that. The goal is to give your Ferrari a bit more noise and bring out some of that engine sound that you want. The “dual tone” as Rev9 calls it, gives you the ability to control the noise level through a valve actuated system that lets you close the valves to keep the car more tame for normal driving or to open the valves to really increase the sound volume and blow your ears out at wide open throttle 🙂
Made from Titanium, and at this price level, you know corners had to be cut, so don’t expect the titanium to be the best quality or the welds to be the strongest. However, most Ferrari owners don’t keep their cars forever so you should probably not care if your exhaust lasts forever – right? 1.3mm thick titanium wall exhaust will make it super light, so you’ll get the performance and sound you’re looking for.
At the time of this post, there are no sound clips available, but check back here and I’ll add them. If you know of any sound clips, or any installed pics, please post them here in the comment section.
So how cheap is this exhaust? If you can see how this one compares at $4060 to some other popular Ferrari F488 exhausts:
- $7000 – RYFT Titanium Race Exhaust with Tips For Ferrari 488 – Race Exhaust with Tips
- $5700 – iPE Ferrari 488 Pista Valvetronic Titanium Exhaust
- $5295.95 – Fabspeed Ferrari 488 Pista Valvetronic Dual Tone Exhaust System
- $5980 – ARMYTRIX Stainless Steel Valvetronic Exhaust System – Ferrari 488 GTB / SPIDER
- $4200 – Capristo Ferrari 488 – Valved Exhaust
So at $4060, this exhaust is the lowest priced option, especially when you think that the Rev9 is titanium while an exhaust like the ARMYTRIX which is stainless steel is $5980.
Has anyone heard the Rev9 488 exhaust in person? Would love to get some reviews and thoughts in the comments below!
